Hi! I’m Jane Suffield of Maradadi Textiles.

Maradadi Textiles offers original textile art works and education in indigo and natural dyes to discerning clients.

I started Maradadi Textiles because I wanted to keep traditions alive by bringing them into the modern world. Although I’m not Japanese, I have always felt an affinity with that country’s aesthetics so exploring the world of shibori and natural indigo dyeing was a natural fit. Both shibori and using natural dyes teaches me so much about culture, and the humanness of making with mind and hands.
